I bought this Makita drill because of the high torque. So I figured it would be perfect for making a hole in a tree stump. As soon as I turned it backwards to remove the drill bit, the entire chuck unscrewed from the drill bit and fell off! I had to throw the drill away and use pliers and a hammer to knock the drill out of the stump. It was easy to screw the drill chuck back onto the thread, but now I'm afraid to use this drill for anything that requires hard work backwards. This seems to be a…
Model tested - XPH07TB Other XPH07 models differ in battery and case (see below) REVIEW I hate to give a review before I've had time to give the tool a reasonable pace but in general I can say that this drill convinces right away. It has incredible power and torque, and you can see why they practically give you a crowbar to hold on to. When you need 1,000 foot-pounds of torque, you can't do it alone.
