When my old remote stopped working I was very concerned that the universal remote would not work with my device. I was so happy to find it. The buttons have a firmer feel, which is good.

Works great. No problems when used as intended. The buttons are small, but that's to be expected when you're packing a lot of functionality into a remote like this (roughly 4.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide). Looks exactly like the picture in the product description.

One thing I've learned about the high tech electronics that the remote uses is that remote controls do wear out over time. Then what do you do with your system if your remote control fails? It's better to have a relatively inexpensive replacement on hand than to break your expensive system.

Thank goodness after my original remote failed after two and a half years it was great to still find it on sale! I just wish the Magnavox DVR itself was still in production, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Magnavox DVR People are still using these DVRs, they are not dead as they thought, please Magnavox return your DVRs, we still need/use them.

The remote I requested was an ORIGINAL Magnavox remote for my DVR. They sent me an "equivalent" Funai remote control. Although it turned my Magnavox DVR on right out of the box, there are a few buttons that are unusable for my needs and missing a few that I really wanted. Within a week I was able to figure out the procedures on this remote to get everything working on my dashcam and that's enough for me to get the job done, but I would really prefer the remote DEVELOPED on the Revain website .
