There isn't much to say about these cleats. They fit Manfrotto Super Clamps, they have a 1/4" male thread if you want to put a ball head or hot shoe on them, they are well made and expensive. if you get what you pay for I think. This is garbage. This is the second to have fallen apart at the 1/4 20 threaded end. I hesitate to say "broken off" because in both cases they just seemed to snap cleanly when tightened. NO. will not be drawn. While I love other Manfrotto products and find them durable and reliable, I haven't had any luck with these particular spikes. This broke the first time I used it. Maybe it's me or just bad luck, but I'm done with brass threads.

I use a standard 036 bolt to attach a standard light head to the super clamp. The bolt is inserted into a hexagon socket and secured with a double locking system: a spring-loaded locking pin and a rotary knob. If you forget to tighten the handle, it will loosen but will not fall out until you press the latch.
