Exactly what I need to shoot my light video.

Just what I needed to convert my lightweight video tripod into a high performance camera. And with a short grip, it can crush more extreme angles without hitting the lower legs.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Works great with the new Manfrotto tripod.

I didn't want to spend $150 on a new video head with a 75mm ball built in for my new tripod, so I bought it for now. Very durable, good weight and looks like it will last forever. I am very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Inconvenient

Excellent 75mm hemispherical short handle

Great product! 75mm Manfrotto 520BALLSH Short Handle for the 529B Hi-Hat. It worked great for us, we needed to mount a DSLR on a jib and this 75mm short handle hemisphere allowed us to do just that. Really well made and works perfectly every time.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to say

Consider the long handle for general tripod use

Good for attaching a short slider to my Sachtler carbon legs. If I were to buy again I would go for a longer handle as the short one doesn't leave my hand much room under the tripod legs to tighten. I haven't used it on a hi-hat or short tripod.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Many things

works, but the price is too high

works. It has a standard arc 3/8 thread in the center. The middle thread is VERY long. that might be fine for some uses, but for mine in a standard sized bowl I cut it down. Also, a long handle can limit the tilt you can use as it can hit the object faster or it's just too long to fit in something like a hi-hat. I don't like it when the ball has sections dedicated to consecration. It works out. but it actually seems very overpriced for what it is unless you want one that says ARRI and it will…

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • The update option

Ideal for Manfrotto 502 AH (flat base)

I bought this to use with my Manfrotto 502 AH and Kessler PB pocket cart (2ft) to fit the head on my 75- mm legs or to the top of the shopping trolley. The adapter is solid, the threads are solid and not as obtrusive as the longer version. This gives you a little less clearance when using a tall hat or a tripod with retractable, locking legs. This is a simple but essential piece of gear that makes the lighter 75mm mount even more versatile. I would definitely recommend and buy again.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Upgrade availability
