💜 Vibrant Amethyst Hair Color - MANIC PANIC Electric Amethyst Hair Dye Classic Review

Color very easy to apply. Has a gel-like consistency. I can immediately say that there is much less pigment in this brand than in Pravana. The paint applied well and didn't bleed too much when rinsed off. It looked beautiful for two days, then EVEN WITHOUT RINSE the hair color started to fade. It is a whole shade lighter and loses its luminosity within 5 days, even without shampoo.

Here is my first 3 star review: Shoulder length bleached hair took double use, two full pots, several hours to achieve desired and advertised color. Now, punk colors offer less variety and more skin tone, but are much cheaper and more likely to color your hair completely on the first try. Imo Electric Amethyst isn't very dark, so next time I'll take ultraviolet. I had to apply twice because I forgot that you have to wash your hair (no conditions), then blow dry AND heat after applying the color. I love manic panic but I haven't colored my hair in about 4 years so I remember the process! This color should be touched up often, but it's not expensive and doesn't damage hair, so I advise everyone to touch up at least a few times a month. Can it be cheaper in Sally Beauty Stores?

I've tried other Manic Panic purple hair dyes before and none of them hold up as well as this one. I love the blue and the vibrancy of the color, but it faded even faster than my other hair color, Cleo Rose, which still looks fresh. Also, this purple isn't bad by any means, I just want it to stay longer before fading to blue. Just for reference, I always wash my hair in cold water and use color safe products to prolong the life of the color and it has been 3 weeks since I first colored it.

It is not permanent but lasts longer than a spray. Just me. Use it. For accents, so that the can lasted me for a while. You only have a minimum amount of time to leave it at the application. So it won't damage your hair if you leave it on longer. That means you can. Repeat the application as often as necessary. It will gradually wash out. But the lightness is amazing! I have naturally dark hair, I bleached it a few days before and applied Manic Panic Electric Amethyst. After almost 40 minutes of leaving I wasn't impressed with the color coming off.
