Mannequin American Cosmetology Practice Braiding Review

I bought a doll to teach my daughter how to braid and eventually to learn how to braid. I also wanted a mannequin to teach my 13 year old daughter how to style her own hair. The hair is very similar to African American hair, it is curly but manageable. Easy to part and braid, minimal shedding.

I brought this doll head to practice with braids and I really like it. The hair is soft and full. I shampooed, conditioned, added some conditioning and combed through. There was a slight fallout at first, but now I think it's stopped. I would absolutely recommend this. I've already tried three types of braids on her and I think I'm getting better lol.

Bought to practice braiding, styling and feeding. The hair looks like an African American woman's natural hair that has been recently blow dried. He's fat and long. I washed and deep conditioned my hair and let it air dry before doing anything. It sheds, the brochure says this is normal and should stop after a few washes and uses, so we'll see. I am very disappointed in this product and it does not match the picture. This hair is just curly and not afro textured. Right out of the box the hair was very tangled and tangled and it looked like there was film on the hair or something. My fingers were dirty after touching it. So I washed/conditioned my hair to detangle it and the hair just became loose curls. I bought this to practice braiding curly hair and it will not serve that purpose.

I bought this mannequin for my 10 year old daughter to play with instead of her own hair. The hair structure is similar to the straightening iron 4a. It wasn't wet yet, but I suspect it might not curl very well. I will update if my daughter ever gets wet. There are quite a lot of hairs per square inch! Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Very excited when I take this wig out of the box. Then I touched my hair, feeling dusty. I thought it was because of the perm so I washed it. I liked the texture when I first took it out of the box, but as soon as water got on it the texture became looser instead of frizzy. The whole point of buying this wig was that I could practice on textured, tightly curled hair. I will come back and get my money back.
