Easy to use on receivers

pair with klipsch outdoor speakers. Offers high quality sound in our pavilion. I don't like the AM vote because it's in tenths. This means you cannot set 774. The closer I get to 770 or 780 where the signal is no longer clear.

Good compact integrated receiver, one of the few with a built in CD player.

Good receiver However, the HEOS app is very unreliable for accessing music streaming services. This device lost its HEOS installation files 3 times in the first week, which means about 20 minutes to flash the device with a non-working remote control type. Returned the block thanks to Revain.

STUN!: Receiver

ABSOLUTE nonsense. Can't program HEOS, that's why I bought it. Seems to require an Apple iOS iPhone to work. A navigation key is a complete mystery. I have no idea about the CD player. Absolute waste of my time and money. Maybe I need a 50 foot ethernet patch cord. Yeah right. Even if this is in the instructions, you need an iPhone.

A good solution for people who need improved sound quality and the Revain Music HD option.

The M-CR612 has an amazing sound. I was amazed at the dramatic improvement in sound (despite using the same speakers). Setup was quick and easy and the device is very easy to use. Using HEOS with Revain Music HD sounds great, but the HEOS app is very slow and not as fun as using the Revain HD app directly. Hopefully this will be better integrated in the future. In general I am very satisfied.

Poor quality control

I primarily ordered this unit because it had a built in CD player. So I was understandably disappointed when, upon opening the box and unpacking the receiver, I found that the CD player was not working. The tray opened and it accepted and read a CD, read the number of tracks and total duration, but then didn't play the last 3 or 4 seconds. It acted like it was getting ready to play, but just stopped and went back to the reading you'd expect after the CD played. The instructions say nothing at…

My first and last Marantz.

The FIRST thing you need to know is that many of the buttons on the remote control are practically useless, except for ON/OFF and volume. The rest of the buttons are an unreliable way to access the CR612. SECOND is that the front panel buttons are redundant as all (except for CD tray open/close) are duplicated in the HEOS app. HEOS stands for "Home Entertainment Operating System". Small package, even bigger sound!

Just upgraded from CR611 to M-CR612 and I can safely say this device is amazing. It looks like Marantz is taking its time and improving this fantastic line both aesthetically and sonically. I paired my old CR611 with Paradigm MilleniaOne 2.0 speakers and they performed great in my small room (280 square feet). Although the Millenia bass is good I felt I needed more power so I went back and bought a Paradigm Seismic 110 subwoofer. Small package, big sound! However, something was always missing…
