Let me explain the stars.

I realize it's weird to give these tissues 5 stars overall, but no more than 3 in any category. The reason is that they're useful for plenty of non-nose purposes, but not soft enough for more than occasional nose-blowing. I'm not a fan of super-soft, linty or lotion tissues, but these are just smooth with no softness, similar to Kimwipes/lab wipes. So they're great for small drying jobs where softness isn't necessary and a paper towel is too much. On the packaging, I'd love to see bigger boxes,

Pros
  • Paper & Plastic
Cons
  • The recycled paper may not provide enough absorbency for heavy use

Tough tissues that won't dispense easily from the box

These tissues might normally be found in truck stop restrooms or in the very cheapest of hotels. I do not recommend them for the office or school setting. They feel like a fine grade sandpaper quality. With these tissues you do get 30 boxes of 100 tissues for a great cost. That said, they are very tough on the nose. They are only slightly softer than notebook paper, and that may simply be due to the pliability factor and not a softness factor in truth. These would probably be great for craft…

Pros
  • Cleaning
Cons
  • The tissues may have a rough texture, causing irritation to sensitive skin

10 stars thank you amazon

Everybody who complains about this doesnot have allergies. I have allergies from hell on disability because of them. I have had to take an eppie pen @ 49 dollars a shot.after using a tissue. The linty tissues drive my allergies nuts. It is next to impossible to find a non linty tissue. I rather have something a little rough & nose a little red than take a shot or go er. If you think these are bad you wouldnt have survived 40 years ago-they were really rough then. These are truly no smell of any…

Pros
  • Can be recycled again after use, reducing waste output
Cons
  • The recycled paper may be more prone to bleeding or disintegrating when wet, ruining the tissues' usability

Great product with amazing value

Great price. you pay for what you get. I wasn't expecting fluffy cotton under my nose but they are perfect for a classroom of preschoolers!

Pros
  • Bulk packaging allows for cost-effective purchase
Cons
  • The tissues may be too thin, leading to the user needing to use more than one at a time

The tissue with the most in value and quality. What's not to love?

Nice tissue and well worth the money. Arrived today 7 January 2015. Nice selection of box colors to go with each room. Very satisfied with purchase and quality of product. Will reorder later on when needed.

Pros
  • Gentle on sensitive skin
Cons
  • The tissues may leave behind residue or lint, potentially irritating the user's skin or eyes

This is a NASTY JOKE!

I am stuck with three cases of "facial tissue" which would be better suited as bag stuffers! I consider this product to be a nasty joke of some kind. The texture is so rough, I can't envision anyone using it. Absorbency is zero. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Pros
  • Great Deal
Cons
  • Very rough tissues

buy some sand paper and save yourself money

You can buy 30 grit sand paper and use it to sand off your deck and have a softer paper to blow your nose on. This stuff is rough as a cob! I guess it would be okay to use for spills. Not to use on someone that is sick and needs a tissue. Horrible

Pros
  • Can be used for a variety of purposes, including cleaning and wiping
Cons
  • The tissues may not be as soft as advertised, leading to less customer satisfaction

Not worth the price

While it is nice that these are recycled paper tissues, they are the roughest that I have ever bought. Usually that would not be an issue except when one is sick and using them on an already tender nose makes one feel worse. Further, they do not dispense one at a time so occasionally it is necessary to put fingers in the box and pull out the needed tissue(s). Lastly, they are of varying thickness so they don't absorb uniformly. Unless these are being used for the purpose other than on the face…

Pros
  • Love that they're recycled! Just a little rough
Cons
  • Thought it was a little rough for facial tissue.

absolutely the worst.

My company is using this one, absolutely the worst. once i pulled one sheet of issue out, all the tiny paper scraps came out all over my desk and notebook. had to spend a lot time to clean up

Pros
  • Eco-friendly packaging: Box is made from recycled materials
Cons
  • The boxes may be more prone to bending or breaking when stacked or stored, potentially damaging the tissues inside

Best 2-ply facial tissue!

I have seasonal allergies -- this facial tissue holds up to my sneezes and continual nose blowing. I appreciate the fact that the product is from 100% recycled paper, EPA compliant, no added dyes or fragrances, and whitened without chemicals containing chlorine. The packaging is made fro 100% recycled paperboard and is itself recyclable. Contrary to another reviewer who thought the packing was wasteful, the individual boxes are flatter as the tissue is not "fluffy" with a large air volume…

Pros
  • good
Cons
  • Legit tissue paper

WASTEFUL AND MORE EXPENSIVE THAN KLEENEX

What looks like a bargain turns out is nothing of the kind. They do not dispense so you have to stick you fingers through the slit in the box and pull out a handful to use one when you need one. The rest usually get tossed so the cost is quite high. Not only that but many times the tissue will only be 1/2 a tissue or will only be 1 ply instead of 2 ply (some are very thin and won't absorb while others are thicker). It's a bit of game of roulette each time you go to use these. Then there's the…

Pros
  • Environmentally friendly: Made from 100% recycled materials, reducing waste and promoting sustainability
Cons
  • The boxes may not be aesthetically pleasing for some consumers, making them less likely to purchase

May as well use newspaper

I am used to Green Forest recycled tissues, which were not available, and they are very soft. I have been buying recycled paper products for over 20 years, so I am not expecting Puffs softness. But, these are downright scratchy and about as absorbent as wrapping tissue paper.

Pros
  • Classic and clean appearance complements any setting
Cons
  • The tissues may be more prone to ripping or tearing when pulled out of the box, wasting product

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not rough SOFT. GREAT PRICE. LOTS OF QUANTITY.

Lots of people said its rough, but honestly I use these face tissues for my face to dry. It's a skin care tip to prevent acne when using towels to dry, and I gotta say it's not that rough. I love the cheap price for all the boxes of tissues.

Pros
  • Does not contain any added fragrances or perfumes
Cons
  • The boxes may not be designed to fit in standard tissue holders or dispensers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product, lousy for serious use

Not bad for occasional use, but falls apart like wet toilet paper if you try to really blow into it. I love having these around but when I get seriously sick next time I probably won't be using these full time.

Pros
  • 8.6 x 4.5 x 1.8 inches
Cons
  • Really rough tissues.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Price is right and product is good

As several other reviewers have stated, these tissues are not as soft as the high priced brand. But I wouldn't call it newspaper as someone did. Think of it as a soft, thin napkin. It does the job for a lot less money - just don't expect baby soft.

Pros
  • GREAT DID WHAT I NEEDED
Cons
  • good 4 tree huggers. No, a leaf is softer.

Pretty good recycled tissue

We have two little ones in the house and we use a lot of facial tissues. It's true that the Marcal brand is not as soft as other brands, but it doesn't bother me or my kids. I always prefer recycled goods and i will continue buying this item when we run out.

Pros
  • Durable: Does not tear or break easily, making it ideal for everyday use
Cons
  • The boxes may not be sturdy enough to hold up to rough handling during shipping and handling

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay tissue for a good price

They are scratchy but knew that from other comments. Box is low profile which is nice for small bed side tables. The tissues may not be as effective at catching and containing sneezes and coughs, potentially increasing the spread of germs!

Pros
  • Easy to store: Compact enough to fit in small spaces
Cons
  • The tissues may not be as effective at catching and containing sneezes and coughs, potentially increasing the spread of germs

Would buy these again!

These are great tissues for my allergies. I was looking for a lint free tissue and I found them. They are a little rough, so if you are looking for a soft tissue these may not be for you.

Pros
  • These tissues are a great value. They are not the softest but for the price I am satisfied with them.
Cons
  • definitely not soft. Like paper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job for my opinion

As advertised and pretty much as expected. Has helped immensely with the tissue lint problem but of course not as soft. Wish the 2-ply didn't come apart so quickly. Will order again.

Pros
  • 4.8 ounces
Cons
  • Rough, thin and scratchy! There has to be softer tissue made from recycled materials.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Terrible! Paper towels are softer.

Very stiff, zero softness, almost like tissue paper for gift wrapping. I've been using 100% recycled paper products for years and there is no excuse for this poor quality. Will definitely not purchase this brand again.

Pros
  • 02930
Cons
  • The recycled paper may not be as soft as virgin paper, making the tissues less comfortable to use
