Ideal for this purpose

I cook pasta almost every week. I've been doing it more consistently and with less mess since I've got this rack. Functionally it works quite well. It hangs the noodles to dry evenly and the material isn't sticky like my old wooden rack unless dusted with flour. Inside the center post is an original design pole with a cut out on one side that fits into the post rails. This allows you to transfer the noodles from the machine to the tool and then place the tool on the guide post and then turn it…

Nice design, breaks easily

Nice little shelf, folds well and looks good. The big problem is that it's essentially a stack of dryer rods, each attached to some sort of ring that goes around the center post. This allows the individual rods to move, allowing them to pivot to an open or closed position. The problem is that the points where the bars meet the center bar is a plastic ring. The bottom ring in this stack needs to be fixed to hold all the others. This is done with a set screw that goes through the ring and snaps…

Homemade Beats always buys at the store

I've been making homemade pasta for years and experimenting with creative ways to dry it. Finally I did some research. After reading many descriptions and recommendations, I chose Marcato. The best investment I've made lately. It works as advertised, but there are a few things worth noting. 1. It's made of plastic, not wood, so you don't have to worry about what's left on the sticks2. Easy to clean.3. Dry paste slides off the sticks easily.4. It comes with a stick that is used to transport…

Does more than you think-

It's helped me so much. I make my own pasta at home because I love fresh pasta and prefer to use organic flours, which are higher in protein and fiber, with 1/2 unbleached white flour and 1/2 organic whole wheat flour. I also don't use eggs and just a small amount of salt and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. I use my amazing Gourmia Paste and Marcato Atlas to help me with this difficult task. Sometimes I would squeeze it onto a plate and other times the pasta would stick as it cooked and…
