Excellent filter socks. I like the mesh over the felt. It seemed to me that my felt socks wouldn't get clean even after running them through the washing machine with bleach. I've used them and what they pull out is absolutely disgusting. To clean, all you have to do is rinse them under running water and they are immediately ready for use. I will definitely buy more.

Collecting rainwater for domestic use. These socks are a secondary pre-filter. They keep almost all the dust and dirt out of my raw water storage tanks (it's been two years since I've had to clean my tanks and I'm expecting a lot more, mostly because of these socks). The only downside is that they work very well and I sometimes have to clean them during a downpour because they get clogged and covered with mud (nice problem).

I don't use these as filter socks but as media bags for my purigen as they are better quality than most media bags and I am confident in their durability. I fill the sock with Pruigen, fold over the hole and use the zip tie, done! At 100 microns I can't think of an aquarium environment that would fail. This product appears to be well made and seems to stand the test of time and I will update the review accordingly. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

I was skeptical of nylon socks for years but gave these a try. From now on I use nylon socks. The socks are perfectly glued, fit well and filter just as well as my 100 micron felt socks. I can only suggest trying them out. They're not cheap, but they're worth it! I will also be ordering more of these socks when I can. They are very easy to care for compared to my felt socks.
