Better than Shimano

Sturdy and work as they should. Then the Shimano that came with my new pedal set only lasted 1 month. These are still going strong.

Better than Shimano

Great cleat set. They last longer than traditional ones and click better while still being secure. I will buy more; )#CU on the way.

Solid Cleats - Bike

Buy Them, Not Shimano. The Shimano cleats that came with the pedals broke on the first ride. Luckily I had these one piece cleats where the red anti slip layer is one piece unlike Shimano where they glue the tips to the base of the cleats (!?).

Pros
  • Replacement Cleats
Cons
  • Vanishing

Better than the original

I've had many pairs of Shimano SPD-SL spikes over the years and just accepted them for what they are. But they are cheaper from Marque, work a little better and seem a little more durable! They will definitely be my backup boots in the future.

Can't detach good replacement cleats

Tried to use them for the first time not the yellow cleats after they wore out and I had trouble detaching the L but I couldn't detach them with right foot without tilting the bike, which is not good when you want to stop at a traffic light on the way. I figured I just needed to adjust the spike, but I've tried 4 different ways of placing it and couldn't fully untie it. I go back to the yellow boots.

Difficult to get in and out of.

Driving for 24 years. Four years mountain biking and 20 years racing bike. My longest day trip was 138 miles. I don't know if I got bad boots as some of the reviews were good. But these cleats suck compared to the Shimano cleats I've been using for most of my road riding. They are difficult to insert and remove even when the pedals are completely loose. Since they weren't expensive, I decided to file down some sections of the spikes to see if I could get them to work. There is no suchโ€ฆ
