My ferrets messed that up.

I find it very important to change the filling in ferret cages frequently. Clean cages make ferrets smell better. This was the most expensive part of keeping a ferret, so the savings of buying a giant bag really add up. The UPS man brings it right to my door, so much more convenient than going to the store.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great Price Great Product

This litter is great for my ferrets. It swells when it absorbs urine, making it easy to see when the filling material is dirty. Doesn't dust and doesn't smell, as far as I know. It's big enough so I don't have to worry about my girls accidentally eating it if one of them gets under their food. It's also easy to assemble and throw away. The $6 price here at Revain is GREAT as my local pet stores sell a 10 lb bag for $15!

Cons
  • No Power

There is no difference with other brands. No help with smells.

This wastepaper basket is nothing special. 3 stars for their work. However, am I sticking with this product just because Marshall's makes the best paper pens? no It's no different than regular Petco or Petsmart branded stores and I only buy this product when it's on sale or as an add-on. If you're looking for a solid paper litter that does a little more in the scent department, check out paper cat litter - it's always offered more coverage in the small animal odor space.

it is not good for litter

I have used this on my pet rats. I bought it because it was cheaper. Immediately my roommate noticed how bad the smell was. I can't get any poop out other than just throwing it away. The litter lasted about 2 days for eight rats compared to a month, which is usually enough for half the litter size. It didn't absorb or stick to the feces. It got thrown everywhere when they tried to bury their feces and I had to change the sheets. Maybe it's better for ferrets, but my rats hated it. At least it…

4 years and haven't used anything else

I've been using this filler for about four years and I've never thought of switching to another brand. Revain has the best price I've found online and with free two day shipping I wouldn't even consider buying anywhere else. This material absorbs liquids quite well and wicks moisture away from other things, making it easy to clean. My only quirk is that if you don't get to it in time (maybe 2 days) it will fall apart and become a mess that needs to be removed from the pan. There is practically…

A good filler if available.

If you can get it cheaper than yesterday's news at a good price, take it. If it's the same price or higher, read yesterday's news instead. This is the best filler. The issue that struck me the most about this filler is the lack of odor control compared to Yesterday's News. Other than that, it's the same litter as any other top-of-the-line ferret-friendly litter. Some people say they feel like they use it more often than the new one from yesterday, I'm not sure if that's true, it's just too hard

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Surprising but true. in litter

After reading the reviews here on Revain I decided to give this litter a try. The new ferrets we brought in were digging and playing in the litter box I used and then sneezing and coughing not to mention throwing litter all over the cage! Sheet! They don't play in the Marshall Ferret pitch and the smell is surprisingly restrained. It kind of "returns" and I just shovel out the dirty garbage every other day. Sometimes I even leave it outside for THREE days with very little smell compared to…

Good litter all round

I started using this litter on the advice of my local pet supply store. It has a number of properties that make it particularly suitable for ferrets: First, it is a non-clumping litter. Ferrets can develop serious health problems from litter accumulation. And (except for the bottom of the bag) relatively little dust. It helps my two little angels not to sneeze so often. I also like that there are no annoying smells. The filling still absorbs odors well if it is changed at least once a day. I…
