Description of πŸ₯› Kefir Caps for Wide Mouth Mason Jars - Live Culture Grains Strainer - Home Fermentation Starter Kit - 2 Pack by Masontops

CONVERTS A MASON JAR INTO WATER OR MILK KEFIR FERMENTER: Kefir is a tangy probiotic-rich beverage like yogurt and kombucha that can provide the gut with healthy beneficial flora. It's also expensive. We'll help you make your own easily at home!. UNIQUE 2-POSITION LID: Our innovative lid makes fermenting real kefir easy with an open/closed twist mechanism. The open position allows airflow to activate the kefir grains and begin fermentation. The airtight closed mode is for storage and handling. OUR VERSATILE LID MAKES EACH STEP SIMPLE: Designed to make kefir fermenting foolproof, the lid's clear top portion pops off to reveal a 1/4 cup space for measuring kefir grains. The bottom half strains the grains while pouring out the finished kefir. KEFIR ON DEMAND: Kefir is a tangy drink that delivers gut-friendly probiotics. Our system is the best way to have it available every day. Just add grains and water or milk. Your purchase includes one blue and one green cap for easy ferment tracking!. FROM THE MASON JAR ACCESSORIES EXPERTS: Count on getting the best and most feature-packed mason jar tools from Masontops. Our goal is to make it simple to turn wide mouth mason jars into containers that produce healthy foods and beverages with ease.

I wanted to love these but they don't work for stress.

Cooking, straining and storing kefir I seem to get a lot of dishes dirty. My beans love to swim, so I have to shake the jar from time to time during fermentation. On my first twirl, I realized I couldn't keep it off the lid. I decided I didn't want milk where it couldn't ferment, so I switched to a regular lid. This was fine with me as I figured it would save me from some straining problems in due course, but unfortunately the strainer just clogs with grains and doesn't let the kefir through. I

I am in love. This. - Kitchen & Dining

I didn't know what to expect from them but bought them because I wanted to try water kefir again. I've tried other mason jar lids and some of them have been great and others have left me with regrets. That's great. A few years ago my attempt at water kefir ended prematurely after a disastrous explosion in my pantry. I didn't have the heart to try again, but then I saw these and they looked promising. What could be better than something that makes the process so easy and requires fewer tools? I…

I bought two packs of these fermenting lids and now use them every day to make water kefir and milk kefir. It's a clever design: Screw the colored part firmly onto the wide mouth jar and line up the three small grooves on the translucent lid with the corresponding dots on the colored filter lid. Twist the top cap one way and the jar is (mostly) sealed. Flip it the other way and you will see a hole about 1/8 inch to allow air flow during aerobic fermentation. The only thing that disappoints me…
