Master Lock Motorcycle Helmet 99KA Review

Includes 2 keys and 2 locks. I read a review that said each key only works with one lock and not the other, but luckily that's not the case. Saves space on my keychain.

The cable's coating is a good scratch resistant/non-metal-to-metal contact protector. The lock works great. A pair of locks with the same key, so you get 4 keys for two locks. Standard master lock, so if you want a high level of security, this lock is not.

I like that all four keys work with both locks. I would give another star if the cables were a few inches longer. They fit snugly to go through my full face helmet, the bar on our bike and stay in the seat. Be sure to pull on the cable after attaching it to ensure it locks properly.

I really like this product, but I made a conscious decision to go with a famous branded lock so as not to be stuck on the side of the road with a bike helmet instead of a head! I've used it 3 times and 3 times it took 10 miles and a bit of assembly to unlock the thing! Complete waste of money

This lock won't stand up to a full-size bolt cutter, but it's 100% deterrent to theft. I was recently at a restaurant in the arts district of downtown LA and my helmet got locked in by one of them, as did one of the other drivers. 4 other riders just had their helmets on the handlebars. When we came back three of those helmets were gone. If you had bolt cutters the mine wouldn't be there either, but that makes it more visible for theft and takes more time than most will spend. I wish I had bought 4 identical keys because they are so convenient. I use one to lock a bag in the trunk of my scooter that isn't secure. I use the other to attach the battery to the scooter while charging. I've also used them linked together to attach my armored jacket and pants to the bike and wish I had 2 spares so I could always do this. Get 4 if you can! The key is small which I like (no big plastic which makes it clunky and difficult to fit on the keychain) and it's difficult to get into

They are very suitable for protecting our helmets. However, if you want to route the cable through a hole on a full-face helmet, only one helmet will fit per lock. I will be threading the cable through the metal rings that secure the chin straps on both my and my son's helmets, allowing me to secure two helmets with just one cable lock. I love this product. I have no particular need to install helmet locks on my bike. I take my helmet to restaurants instead of leaving it with my bike, I put it in my locker at work, etc. bike in a tourist trap and go on a tour).
