This is a great example of how to write an IT cookbook. Not only in terms of virtualization, but also a general IT book for learning new technologies. great examples and great use cases!

I've only used CentOS and KVM a little, but this book gave me a lot of information. It is procedurally written in such a way that even as a beginner I could easily work with the provided commands and codes. After only 4-5 chapters, something else struck me - this book really has a "soul", for lack of a better word. It's thoughtful, well explained and I'm very happy with my purchase. Negative? Well it's definitely long, 700 pages. Some pictures could be of better quality. But overall very happy…

The beginning of this book says anyone can learn KVM from this book, no Linux knowledge is required. Although I know Linux well, there are so many gaps in this book that most of what you try to set up in your lab will simply fail. Imagine watching a movie full of memories of what this book looks like minus the important details that will actually help you set up a KVM environment successfully. I would not recommend this book to anyone trying to learn KVM.
