Great little vents for animal enclosures and stables.

ventilation and protection against insects in the chicken coop need to be added. They fit perfectly and have an attached screen. Just drill a 2" hole and snap into place. Quality and workmanship are good.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • speed

Sits a little loose. Easily adjustable

A 2 inch blade was used to cut holes in the ceiling. It snaps straight into place, a little loose, so I used a 16" nail and gently knocked out the ears. fits! I'll pre-touch the rest before installing, don't want to spend any more time on stairs than necessary!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Functionality

Stop birds and insects!

This spring, the birds tried very aggressively to break through the ventilation grilles of the headlights. Time for reinforcements! I love that the item is pre-painted rather than raw aluminum. There are also screens in the vent cover that keep most bugs out. The vent caps used previously do not have a second barrier.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Little things

Too tight on the roof

This is a little disappointing. They're a bit tight so I can fit them in some of the holes around the cornice, but in others I distort them to get them in place. I don't know if this is due to the humidity in my area causing the wood to swell, but whatever the cause I had to look for other means to keep the birds from pecking at my screens and trying to to build nests. in my attic. These just didn't work for me.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad but...

$$$ saved visiting a pest specialist to destroy a wasp nest in my attic

Every spring/summer I have a small wasp nest in my attic. This time the nest was too creepy to ignore, so a $265 pest specialist came and destroyed the nest. Bought aluminum slats with insect screens for my attic openings to take the fear out of having to destroy the nest with pests every year. I used liquid nails to glue the meshes in place. Some fit comfortably, others benefited from being glued in place. Peace of mind has no price tag. No more wasps. Yes.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Quick and easy solution for ceiling ventilation

I had to air out the closed gables of a small outbuilding and it worked. It's important to keep the drill steady when drilling a 2" hole, as wobbling will widen the hole and weaken the fit. I installed four in under half an hour and pressed them all into a 5/8 inch diameter plywood shaft. enough, three very tight after realizing my hesitation in drilling the first hole resulted in a loose (but good enough) fit. Make sure you slide the blinds in the correct orientation as they will not move…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • The list will be long.

woodpeckers hate me.

These blinds were used to close holes in the screen damaged by a woodpecker. To keep him away I put a garland all over the house. So far, so good. This has been working for a few weeks now. I managed to buy a garland at the post-Christmas sale for next to nothing. I just measured the largest woodpecker hole and bought one that was 2 inches. Took a 2" hole saw to shape the hole perfectly. Update a year later and use a new garland again this year. The woodpecker was delighted to get back through…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Interval
