We needed help with managing the bookkeeping for our firm, Maxim Liberty.

We needed help with managing the bookkeeping for our firm, Maxim Liberty. As a new firm we had little knowledge about bookkeeping. We had hired a friend to handle the accounting and we knew nothing about bookkeeping. We had to learn everything about bookkeeping, but most importantly, we had to learn how to use QuickBooks. This was not easy because it is such a complicated program. It took us a couple months to get used to it, but once we did, we found that it was easy to manage our finances.

  • The software is easy to understand and use.
  • Provides clear instructions and documentation on how to setup your account.
Cons
  • We paid for a monthly subscription.
  • The price point was high.

Maxim Liberty is a leading provider of cloud-based accounting solutions for small businesses.

Maxim Liberty has been awesome to work with! They are super responsive and have great follow up after each engagement. Their bookkeeper who provides technical assistance is incredibly helpful and thorough. We've had several opportunities to use Maxim Liberty since starting my own practice and will continue to recommend them to other small business owners.   • Couldn't find any clear documentation on setting up reports.

Pros
  • Even though it is an hourly billing, they give you a flat fee regardless of the time spent doing the project.
  • Great support, very helpful people who will answer questions and guide you along the way.
Cons
  • You have to contact them to find out where they are located
  • There are tons of things you can do with software, but what I really wanted was a point of sale system.
