Elevate your bonnet with lift bars

Slightly oversized for a 2005/92-x WRX Aero, but the result is a 100% vertical hood lift for *a fraction* of the price of any of the "kits" you can buy which are custom made. Happy so far, nice to have the hood completely out of the way and no rod to dance around with!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly dented

totally shocked by the best replacement parts

Again i am totally shocked at how well these aftermarket racks work. Assembly took 5 minutes each side. 3 minutes to remove. 1 minute to install. 1 minute for cleaning. That's all! Thanks to the stable struts, the engine cover behaves like a new car. Should have done that a year ago. The price was worth it. Swapped the one on the trunk lid and very happy. Let's see how long they last.

Pros
  • this is amazing
Cons
  • upgradeable

Perfect fit and secure hold for my Lexus GS soft top

Just installed yesterday. It took a small flathead screwdriver to loosen the clips on my old strut mounts, but it's very easy to do. The difficulty was that I was trying to do it myself and the hood kept falling. Be sure to ask someone for help. But what is the difference - the bonnet now pops open without any problems. I will change them myself from now on.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

This is good for spares

I have read reviews that they are good and while I don't know how long they will last they seem to be more durable than OEM's when new. To pull the old ones off on my Lexus I used a standard hammer nail puller which went behind the old strut pivot and immediately popped out with a good push. Use a cloth between the hammer and the cap to avoid scratching the paint. The lower parts broke off when twisted, and new ones immediately jumped out.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Easy Fit for 07 Lexus GS350 Bonnet Struts

Easy Fit and Fix for 07 Lexus GS350 Bonnet Struts and cheaper than local auto repair shops and no need to run after them. It was easier to find them on Revain than auto parts sites, which made no sense. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the old metal clips holding it (have someone hold the hood or prop it up) and put the new ones on. Took me no more than 5 minutes and you saved some money. The Lexus dealer wanted to charge my wife over $200 for it. She held the hood and I showed her how…
