Would I buy another one?

I already had the same fan but I removed the roof air conditioner and replaced it with a different fan, now it's like a wind tunnel in my trailer, after that it cools down in about 10 minutes. was closed in the high 90's. At night I open the little window and it blows nice air, and on cool nights in the 50's I close the vent and it blows the warm air from my little heater back down. money well spent.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Looks a lot better than my previous one

I have both this and a cheaper version of this installed in my van. Right off the bat it looks a lot nicer than the ones that require a huge plastic cover to keep out rain. It's also much easier to install as you can remove it from the frame and screw on the frame first. before attaching it back to the frame. I've come to the conclusion that I need to buy two fans because you need to create airflow, otherwise one fan alone won't circulate the hot air properly and it will still boil inside. The…

The best option I know of is overpriced for China Mfg

I used this to replace a standard bathroom fan with a small fan that came from Winnebago. Installation was easy. One of the metal brackets into which the 4 screws are screwed to hold the unit to the mounting flange was not manufactured correctly and the screw was not tightened. Just a little quality control issue. The only thing I don't like about this fan is the cheap plastic it's made of and the crazy price. As simple as these fans are, they should at least make them in the US if they're…

quality fan. - Air Conditioners

I replaced an aging and cracked air vent in my closed 12 foot trailer. Since I was adding solar panels and batteries for indoor and outdoor lighting, I figured I could have a powered fan as well. Since my trailer and this vent were typical sizes, they were easily swapped out. The hardest part was removing the original screws, but still it only took me 30 minutes to get them out. With a little scraping and cleaning, the new one was ready for installation. I used new bolts, butyl tape and sealant

  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Minor Repairability

High flow and silence!

Installed in our 23ft RV above the main bed. We lived in the middle of nowhere so the only way to cool the RV at night was to open all the windows and vents and then use a personal fan. The outside installation was easy and similar to replacing other vents (i.e. old sealant). Inside the cabin, the wiring became a bit more manageable. I used a dremel with a large cutting wheel to trim and smooth the edges with a knife (this wasn't necessary as it's hidden). The unit is very quiet on the lowest…

Newly installed, good for HVAC

We purchased a 06401K Maxxair DLX Vent to replace the roof air conditioner in our Lance Squire Lite truck as we almost always live in a remote camp (no generator). This device does not have a remote control, it opens manually and only vents at 4 speeds. We opted for simple. At the lowest speed, fan noise was imperceptible. At high speed it was tolerably quiet. Installation is definitely a do-it-yourself project if you can safely climb onto the roof of your RV and work with power tools and…
