We have several hundred of these devices in use in our fleet at various locations. They never lasted a year before failing. Sometimes they fail spectacularly, often they burn from the inside out. The power and ground wires are fused together, causing fuses to blow throughout the circuit to which they are connected. They're time consuming to maintain, but they're good lights.

Ever wondered "are there 3/4 inch marker lights that can withstand the extreme temperatures found in fog lights”? Well the answer is yes! I installed them in my fog lights about a month ago and they do great inside the fog light housing where temperatures can reach several hundred degrees. I bought these to attach turn signals to outside mirror housings on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner. The viewing angle is fairly wide and they're fairly bright, making them an attractive option. Installing the lamp was relatively easy, drill a 3/4" hole, insert a grommet, and then push the lamp body into the grommet until it snaps into place.
