Description of 🚵 MAXXIS Aggressor 29x2.5 Dual Compound MTB Tire with EXO Puncture Protection and Wide Trail Design

AGGRESSOR: Designed for high-speed modern mountain bike trails. Advanced knob shaping creates extra gripping edges, and reinforced side knobs offer enhanced stability when cornering at speed. ALL-AROUND TRAIL: Excells on everything from loose cross country race courses to heavy all-mountain riding. EXO: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high. DUAL COMPOUND: Two compounds used within the tread offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip compared to single compound tires. TUBELESS READY: Sealant-compatible rubber is used with a Tubeless Ready bead to securley lock to the rim with, or without, an innertube.

Good sandy grip in tires and tubes

The same quality you've come to expect from Maxxis. I mostly use them on loose sand and rocks and they have incredible traction. My front wheel was especially improved because the front tire doesn't wobble when it's lost. Also, this is the biggest tire I could buy without using tubeless tires.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Brittleness

So far so good for the tires

Excellent rear tire grip with rocks and roots. There were slight difficulties filling the Tubeless Air with air, it was easier with a Minion in front. Did a bit of pavement riding and rolling resistance wasn't as bad as I expected, but definitely not very good.

Lasted One Ride: Tire

The sidewall of this tire lasted exactly one ride before a huge hole formed in it. Of course I ride pretty rough stuff. The grip is pretty tacky and fun, but they need to reinforce the sidewalls. Oh, I also use CushCore and still blasted the sidewall.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Don't really like it, all fine

Great rear tire! best tires and tubes

Great tire for the money. I used Schwalbe Nobby-Nics and wanted to stick with the Schwalbe brand because of the extra weight, but read a few reviews and finally came to the conclusion that DHF and Aggressor backs are a highly recommended combination that I am very happy with am!🤘

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Something different

Excellent tire rear tire

Large Rear Tire; rolls fast but has DHF side grips so it really bites into corners. Don't expect them to be semi-slick like the Minion SS, the blocks are high like a regular tire only they're firmer so it rolls well. Great on rock, gravel, loam, but not so good on mud (especially sticky) or snow/ice.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great rear tire, the best in cycling

Great tire! Before that I used a Minion DHR II as a rear tire. I liked the minion very, very persistent and well turned. I was looking for something better and settled on Aggressor. Definitely rolls better! The Mignon sacrifices some traction but that's to be expected, it just needed a bit of body position adjustment on the climbs and it works great. Rolls fast, has good traction and turns well. Excellent trail tire.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Volume

Solid tire! for tires and tubes

Exchanged my rear Bontrager XR4 for this one after sidewall damage. There was a very noticeable difference in stopping power and cornering grip (compared to my XR4). I couldn't even break a rear wheel trying and immediately became much more confident cornering. It's a bit difficult to climb the normal route but I got used to it pretty quickly. If you have mixed road conditions with pavement, rocks and loose dirt, this tire will serve you well! Note. I folded it up a bit on my first ride so this

Great rear tire. on tire

Very happy with this tyre. I use a Minion DHFII 2.5 on the front paired with this one on the back. Excellent grip in all the conditions I've used it in: wet, hard, dusty and sharp lava rock. So far I'm very happy with it on the back. I mainly ride enduro style trails in Oregon. I am particularly satisfied with my grip in corners. I've competed in Specialized Slaughter in the past and even tried Forte Pisgah2. This tire has more traction than either of these two, seems a lot stronger than the…
