Excellent tyre! Ride it about 3 weeks, rip the edge off and Maxxis gave a warranty on the tire. I just uploaded a photo of the punctured tire and the following week a new one came in the mail. If the product hadn't failed initially I would have given 5 stars. I also run a DHF Minion on the front wheel and have had no issues with the reliability of this tire. Very persistent, aggressive profile.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Modernity

You May Have Better Luck

After filling in tubeless sealant, I pumped it up to 40psi and rode it. Then put the bike in the garage, an hour later I hear something explode. drove to the workshop, the sealant was everywhere, now the tire has even stretched back onto the rim. I had to put my old Maxxis on and noticed that it was a lot fatter than that DHR II tire. I thought all Maxxis Exo tires had the same sidewall thickness. I don't understand how the 40psi pressure blew the tire off the rim.

  • Few Competitors

Disappointed Good for tires and tubes

Well I've ridden 417 miles on the Minion DHF and the tread looks great but there are two holes in the sidewalls. I put it in my pocket, but it's toast. I was hoping the sidewalls would hold up better for a true double down DH tire. I'm not a great driver, but we have rocks here in the Rocky Mountains. Spring. Not sure what to try next but maybe Schwalbe, Conti or Michelin. Looking for the thickest sidewall I can find. I don't think that's all. I liked the rubber compound and the tread wore well

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Problems

UPDATE: I've noticed that most DHRs sold at Revain are closer to $100, but for $70 you get the exact same results. That extra $30 could get you a decent pair of handlebars instead, what a scam from these other people! Original: This is definitely the perfect rear tire if you want to ride hard trails. The tires are very knobby and if you need DHF for the front tire you can use that for the front if you want more speed.

  • Best

Sweet Stick Nectar for tires and tubes

I love these tires, I just love them. I use both rear tires front and back on my DHR bike, not DHF front. One reason was that at 2.40 I couldn't find a 27.5 DHF anymore, only 2.30 or 2.50. I've also had a DHR up front and thought, 'Damn, I'll just run two rear tires. I ride at 30psi and I'm sure I could fall a bit more but the tires grip like a vise, super sticky, love them. Also for $55. sweet nectar. My fellow drivers paid $80 for unnamed tires of the same diameter and width, they burned outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • So far so good

I have been using Maxxis tires for many years and have never had any problems with them. It was kind of an isolated case. My bike gets lifted to put it on a pickup truck platform to take it to the trail. Anyway, when we got going, the bike moved about 2 inches, and the sidewall was rubbing on a piece of metal that wasn't jagged or anything. With this special model! I was hoping that Maxxis would be professional enough to attempt to upgrade all of my customers' bikes to use their products. Iโ€ฆ

Unfortunately I received a flat tire

This tire has received excellent reviews which I have no doubts about. Unfortunately I think I caught a flat tyre. I used them without a tube and at first thought the tire didn't fit properly. However, after several attempts and closer inspection, he stood up normally, but the tread was crooked. I suspect it was an issue when it was molded or was a bad ball. As a result, the profile has shifted several centimeters to the side, as if the tire had been mounted incorrectly. Since the bus wasโ€ฆ
