Suitable for bricks - hand tools

Safety handle works as advertised and if I was cutting bricks I would choose this one. The blade is a bit soft for rock and easily scratches compared to the 7" Estwing ERC-7C rock chisel I later purchased.

Pros
  • Shot peening
Cons
  • Some minor things

Ideal for chiseling cracks in concrete

Used to chisel cracks in a pool's concrete deck for repairs. Good quality made it possible to quickly complete this work, which I was afraid of. The tool's functionality was a pleasant surprise, and the work was not as bad as expected. good buy

Pros
  • Shot Peening
Cons
  • Some Mistakes

good brand good product

Used to split landscape blocks, protects my hand well. After about a dozen misses, I hit the guard, the guard started cracking, hence the rating is 4 stars. I thought the protection might break but it lasted the entire project. No need to buy new, holds up perfectly. I would buy this brand again

Pros
  • Allows for special cuts, sizes and notches
Cons
  • Available in white only

Decent, economical option for masonry

Purchased for cutting curved edge patio tiles. It worked well enough. I would have preferred a carbide chisel, but it's a lot more expensive than that. The plastic mold for the handle worked great as a shock absorber and handguard, but to be honest I didn't really grieve for the thing, so I never got the ability of the plastic tested by hitting it with a small sledgehammer. My verdict is: a good option/value for small jobs. If I had to cut stone every day, I would go for a more expensive model…

Pros
  • Used in a variety of masonry applications from brick to stone to concrete
Cons
  • Large and bulky
