After suffering for a long time with only one curtain which allowed water to go unto the floor and me having to mop up after I decided enough was enough. This shower curtain is very heavy duty and after several months of use it is still pretty clean with no signs of mildew. I used to buy the shower curtains that were around $4 but I would have to replace them every 6 months or so because there is no way it would withstand washing. This shower curtain is heavy and very good quality. I'm sure it will last a long time. It doesn't have a magenetized bottom, but because of it's weight, the magenets are not necessary. The shower curtain is heavy enough to use alone if someone does not want to go through the expense of a fabric curtain over it. This shower curtain is NOT opaque, as the ad seems to show and as I wanted. It is translucent. You can see suggestive outlines through it. I really like the heavy weight, and it drapes … doesn't stick to itself. Has weights sewn in to weigh it down. Reinforced top. You can wash it in hot water in your washing machine and comes out fine. I will say that it's not rust proof - the grommets will definitely rust after a few years. It will get mold on it, but maybe just a little bit at the bottom.
