Bulge lug nuts have an extended seating surface that is designed to match the wider seating surface used on some aluminum wheels. McGardโ€™s plating process includes several layers of nickel and one layer of microporous chrome producing a superior finish while protecting against rust. ATTENTION ! The packaging is wrong.

I also almost ruined the wheel studs on my wife's Subaru. Mother pack 64013 says M12x1.25. Punching on nuts MCGARD-06417-12x1.5MM.

They look very nice and I bought them mainly because of the size.

I haven't used these nuts yet, but I will use them in the summer. They look very good and I bought them mainly because of the positive reviews they have received and I fully expect them to work well.

The package is invalid!

I don't know how it worked out but although they are marked m12x1.25 the thread size I got was actually m12x1.5. If I hadn't checked before bolting, I would have spent a lot more than that cost replacing the wheel studs. Buyer Warning.

Powered by 2014 Subaru Forester

Bright, good looking, strong, nothing like stock nuts. Weight 1.75 ounces. The shoulder (bulge) prevents the keys from hitting the alloy wheels. The 2014 Forester has 3/4" (19mm) hex nuts from the factory. If you have Subaru wheel locks (0.95" length, 0.80 oz), consider using McGard #24152, 2.04 oz Consider locking nuts to maintain proper balance.

Their quality is much higher than the standard.

UPDATE January 2020: They have been on my 2015 Forester since November 2015 and are just starting to show some corrosion. I think they go well with the black rims. The photos were taken in December 2016. ORIGINAL: The quality of these nuts is much higher than the stock nuts on my 2015 Subaru Forester. I want this model to be in black and other colors.
