This power supply is a very efficient power source.

Without electricity, the device consumes a little less than 6 watts, which makes me very happy. The fan on my device is pretty quiet when turned on. I use the LRS-350-15 to keep my small emergency solar system from going below 12.6 volts at night and on cloudy days to extend battery life. For this I have put together a not very nice controllable DC voltage regulator, which is supplied with 350-15. For now I'm happy with this device and I hope it lasts a very long time.

The fan runs VERY hard

I have purchased dozens of power supplies from Mean Well over the years. I bought it without reservation. The PSU gave good and stable performance (I didn't check it on a visual sight). My problem is simple; I loaded the PSU to 10 percent and the fan works! The fan isn't exactly the quietest fan, more like a very fast, 90 second fan that might turn on again after 10 minutes for another 60-90 seconds. The load doesn't justify running the fan at all. I needed a 14.5v source to power a

I needed a 14.5V source to charge an AGM battery for my ham radio backup. The 12V power supplies weren't tuned high enough, so that was perfect. Please note that this power supply is used via a dedicated charging circuit and does not connect directly to my batteries. This delivery works very well. The fan rarely runs and is quiet.

Big spikes when I connect this unit to a 280Ah battery system. What happened?

I used this unit for a 210Ah lead acid battery in my van. It worked great to charge a lead acid battery for two months. I replaced the lead acid battery with LiFePO4. So I increased the charging voltage to 14.5V and connected the charging cable to the new battery. Then a big spike burned my battery terminal and the cable got very hot. I almost burned my fingers.
