I purchased this 0-3000 psi gauge to measure the outlet pressure on my airless spray gun. Plastic postal envelope. I'm sure he was thrown. The thread was protected by a plastic cap. I wrapped three turns of teflon tape and wrapped it straight. I tightened it to handle the 3000psi max pump pressure.
