Bought these for winter cycling, they are great!

I needed something to cover my wrists during my winter travels in North Dakota. There is a gap between my gloves and my jacket that can cause blisters and redness if exposed to the wind for too long. Neoprene sports wrist warmers are more than twice the price, so I grabbed them to see how they fit. LOVE that they have room for thumbs so they stay in place. Last week I drove to work in temperatures as low as 10C (below 0C due to the wind) and these puppies were amazing. They kept my whole hand…

Pros
  • Hand and arm protection
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Great fit and heat resistance, terrible quality.

Temperature resistance excellent, design very poor. I've been using these gloves for 12 days. I carried out the welding process with the 7018 electrode in various positions. These gloves have been made from the ground up from soft leather that's easy to cut, with a few small holes burned into the material and the seams pop open with little effort. : The gloves' heat resistance, appearance, fit, comfort and overall "cool factor" are excellent. So the gloves' cost far outweighs their durability…

Pros
  • Laboratory, protective and work gloves
Cons
  • old

A welder's perspective

tl;dr: Nomex and Kevlar work, but the sleeves are too short for normal American men. Welding of UV rays by plasma arc. I now have quite a UV burn on my left bicep due to the gap between these sleeves and the short sleeve shirt. My fault, clearly. I don't blame anyone but myself. These sleeves catch all UV rays, sparks and slag with no problem. The problem is that they only go up to my elbow. I'm not a big guy - I'm below average and have what is called an "athletic build". Thing is, I'm shorter

Pros
  • Personal protective equipment
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
