Built-In USB Hub provides easy access to additional USB Type A and USB Type C connection for expansion. Transfer rate up to 10Gbps via USB 3.1 Gen 2. USB-C to USB -C with E-Mark IC cable is included. (3.3ft). Support 3.5” SATA I / II / III hard disk drive up to 16TB per drive, and 2.5” SATA SSD / HDD. Support UASP, S.M.A.R.T, Smart Fan, and Power On / Off in synchronization with computer (Does not support auto Power-On due to power failure). It does NOT support Raid 5

Overview of drive and cooling performance

I like the design of this box. It feels solid and I'm happy with the quality. It even has a hydraulically mounted fan. The biggest drawback for me is the ventilation. The fan should last a long time (hydraulic bearing) and be very quiet. but the design for the airflow is bad. When you're working hot and want an easy change. Remove the grille and turn the fan over. I removed the grille to remove any obstructions to airflow (obviously this will expose the fan blades, don't poke around there)…

Good product for hard drive accessories

I ordered a Mediasonic hard drive enclosure on the recommendation of someone on an online forum as I needed some sort of centralized storage for my video files. I'm happy to say that the build quality of this device seems to be good. It works fine but before I figured out how to get it working I sent an email to the company. I received an immediate response to my question. I'm far from fully testing this device, but I'm glad it does what I want to do now, which is to house a 16TB internal hard…

Not compatible with Power Disable drives, no onboard 4-drive RAID

I was hoping to use this as 24TB (4 x 8TB) Raid 5 external storage to run Mediasonic HUR3 -SU3S3 2-Bay Disk Array to replace 16 TB (2x8 TB) 0 array. READ DOCUMENTATION BEFORE BUYING! Does exactly what it says. I get @ 3.33 Gbps in the real world

So I wanted to add two of these to my Mac Pro 5.1 with Sonnet Allegro USB-C 4-Port PCIe (USB3C-4PM-E) cards. The cables that came with it were too short to reach my tower so I bought another one.
