Useless so far Best in Microscopes

I'm an amateur. My expectations are probably too high. The lag in image resolution when I change focus or scan an image is so slow that it's very frustrating. The image in the other eyepiece of my binocular microscope is also always much clearer.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Slightly disappointed

I don't know if my expectations are too high, but I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of photos and videos I can get with this device. I'm not 100% sure I have everything set up correctly, but I can take much, much nicer photos and videos just by holding my phone to the eyepiece. I expected more.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to say

Very good picture quality, slow even for USB 3.0

The picture quality is very good, even better than my DSLR+ adapter. I didn't give 5 stars because 10MB + USB3.0 is still slow. It's not easy to adjust the focus while looking at my computer screen unless you adjust the focus ring very, very slowly. It's probably because of the 10MB resolution. Maybe buy a lower one like 3 or 5MB to see if it gets more responsive or not.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Only available in white

Easy setup, good pictures

We got this Swift camera and microscope as a kit for homeschooling and cooperative biology studies. While another brand was recommended to us, we chose the Swift in part because reviews of the other brand's cameras found it to be a bit lacking (at 5MP). So far, after looking at the hair, skeins of yarn, bits of bugs, cheek cells, and more, we're quite happy with the purchase. The software was easy to install, the camera was intuitive and easy to connect to the microscope, the computer…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
