We got this Swift camera and microscope as a kit for homeschooling and cooperative biology studies. While another brand was recommended to us, we chose the Swift in part because reviews of the other brand's cameras found it to be a bit lacking (at 5MP). So far, after looking at the hair, skeins of yarn, bits of bugs, cheek cells, and more, we're quite happy with the purchase. The software was easy to install, the camera was intuitive and easy to connect to the microscope, the computer recognized the camera immediately and children (big and small) were happy to see what was seen through the lenses on the computer screen without any further steps . noticeable deterioration in resolution.
