I don't wash wax pads. I'd rather swap them out.

I find that the wax jar is usually longer than the applicator included in the kit. I don't usually wash them, although that would probably be more economical. Being lazy, I like to just replace them when the need arises. These Meguiar's pads are exactly the same as the ones that come with the Meguiar's wax I buy. I've tried others with a microfiber finish but I'm not interested in them.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say

Best foam applicator I have found

These are the first foam applicators I have ever used and I absolutely love them. But it should be for the best, right? no After spending money on about 6 other guys I came home to a better one. Meg foam is the softest yet strongest foam I've found. I consider them disposable after using them for sealants or wax. But I only drive my own truck and my wife's Jeep twice a year. Small price for the best.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great for interior trim, but not for waxing

From a beginner's perspective, these applicator pads are best for cleaning interior trim. I tried using them to wax after caulking and they didn't work as well as microfiber pads. However, they are ideal for cleaning interior trim, and it seems a lot easier to clean the pads with an all-purpose cleaner than wax or sealer. In general, these are excellent applicators for interior decoration, in my opinion.

  • Easy to use

Makes polishing easier

I polish my hands. I like that the Meguiars Pads are non-slip when buffing or waxing. They are easy to apply and last a long time. I wash them when I wash my microfiber towels and they come out clean and wax free. My only complaint is that they tend to build up wax on the rim when dipped in the paste can, which isn't a deal breaker. It's not cheap compared to the discounted applicators available at Revain, but for me they're worth it.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for hold and durability
Cons
  • Safety

Works well but retains product absorbed

I'm not very good with automotive products so I'll post this in case there are others like me. These pads work great, but they tend to absorb product in a somewhat irreversible way. By that I mean that when the car was waxed, washing the pads in the washing machine did little to clean it. When I squeezed them, the wax came out. So for me these pads are disposable, at least when it comes to thick products like wax. Washing seems to work well with products that have a more liquid consistency…

Meguir's Foam Applicator - 4 Pack

Worked great applying Optimum Opti-Seal when detailing my truck recently. Foam pads are probably all the same, and maybe cheaper ones would work just as well as these, but given the amount of effort put into the details, especially if you only do it every two or three years like I do, I figured what if Meguirs called it a spade and I'm sure these pads are the best out there. Worked very well as an applicator for the final wax. They held up very well, didn't crack or break and could probably be…

Hand buffing or waxing these pads feels nice and gets the job done

I'll address them at the beginning. These are amazing foam applicators! They are soft enough not to damage car paint but strong enough to give a decent amount of hand buffing if needed. - a coating that may leave swirls and/or scratches. The downside is they need a bit more product as they soak up some of it and it can get pretty messy if you apply too much pressure causing the absorbed product to spill out. I highly recommend working at a moderate pace, using light pressure for waxing and…
