I'm a bit disappointed because you can't slide the chairs. So when my child sits down to paint or play with clay, they sit sideways. The table is great and the storage space is great. But it's definitely disappointing that you can't push the chairs. Otherwise it is solid and of excellent quality. Update: My kid doesn't even want to sit at the table anymore because he can't push the chair.

This whole table arrived in near perfect condition apart from a tiny nick in one of the pieces. Pretty impressive that it had to be flown over the Pacific Ocean. It took me about an hour to assemble it with my own hands using a screwdriver. I also bought marbled contact paper to "beautify" my home center. I recommend this product. I own a grocery store, medical center and diner. Melissa and Doug are great quality and cope with all the little hands in my nursery at home.

This table is of a very high quality and well made - easy to assemble and very sturdy. The quality you expect from Melissa and Doug. However, it is a very uncomfortable height and therefore it is very uncomfortable for my children to sit there. Considering the height of the table, the distance from the bottom of the drawers to the floor is only 10.5 inches due to the depth of the drawers. I have purchased several Melissa and Doug toys for my 3 nieces and 1 nephew over the years but never bought their furniture. As always, bring your game. This is one of the highest quality RTA furniture pieces I've seen, especially for kids. . The instructions could not have been clearer and assembly could not have been easier.
