Warning! Not for use with a Panasonic DVD recorder

This brand of recordable DVDs can work well on computers but cannot be used to play on a DVD player. I used them to transfer videos to DVD with my new Panasonic DVD burner and they all had errors when I tried to play them. course Panasonic brand. Don't make a deal here - you can use almost any blank DVD-R disc except Memorex (and FYI Maxell) to burn a DVD to be played on a regular DVD player.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Coaster Coaster Coaster

When used on an iMac equipped with 4x Superdrive, coasters burned half the time (3 out of 6) using either the built-in burning capabilities of MacOS X or Toast Titanium 5.2. The stands actually look discolored or hazy, like something happened to the DVD plastic during the burning process. Also, the discs don't advertise their speed - they only burn at 1x speed, so even if the burn succeeds, it's incredibly slow. .I would give 1 star but the cases are very good.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Annoyed

That's good, but your dvd+rw/+r is even better!

Memorex storage media have always been good. We've never encountered any errors while burning to CDs or DVDs. Always preferred. But since I switched to DVD+R/+RW it would be fitting if Revain.com started getting the media. They seem to be sold everywhere and I can't get in here! hmmmm Well, Memorex has been making media for centuries and it shows. Big Five always and rightly so.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • infinitely slow

Good product but WARNING

Just a little warning if you are planning to buy this product. From a few [.]. This product is for the Pioneer 103 DVR, which only records to DVD-R/RW burners. Not HP. Note +RW for HP and -R/RW for Pioneer. Other than that, it's a good product.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • So far so good

DO NOT BUY THIS FOR PANASONIC HS2

Another 'Briansbro' review was correct. My only regret is that I didn't read it before purchasing the Memorex forms. Panasonic's new HS2 component DVD recorder can't handle these DVD-Rs for some reason. I burned 1 of 5 packages successfully. Every time I inserted the other 4, the player literally turned off and on again in "recovery mode". Strange. In addition to Briansbro's comments on compatibility, I also bought two Imation 5-pack Imation blank DVD-R discs because they only had one Memorex…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Nothing but coasters

I tried to burn about 15 discs on a Sony DRU-500A drive - 2 guards. Sony Technical Support has reported that Memorex is not on the media compatibility list. Have switched to Sony media - since then no more problems. I have used other Memorex products (e.g. CDR) in the past with good results. If you have a Sony drive, first visit Sony's support site. I wish I had.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not bad but...
