Does a terrible job

Works great as a grinder, too bad it's not its job. Terribly capable of making nice cuts of julienne or pasta. Seems to be fading fast. The entire product design is a failure.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Protects Fingers - Kitchen & Dining

Received this after cutting myself badly on a grater. I wasn't sure if this would work because it's for a specific Mercer grater, but it helps. I just wanted something to hold the items while rubbing to protect my fingers. You can keep it closed for cheese etc or open it for longer items like pickles.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Dangerous!: Kitchen & Dining

I cut the underside of my palm before using any of these but when I saw the price tag on this along with the video provided. I thought it would be much easier to use. Unfortunately it isn't. The vine on this thing is jagged, so it doesn't cut very well. Vegetables get stuck in it halfway. To change the thickness you need to pull out and twist the blade. It wasn't as easy as it should have been. I literally almost cut myself doing it. It was quite difficult to pull the blade out and put it back…

cuts very accurately and cuts smoothly

Excellent overall, A very important suggestion. It doesn't hold medium potatoes very well. So I have to start cutting by hand. Then grab it once it becomes a flat surface. The downside to this is that you can forget the first few uses and cut yourself pretty badly, which is what I did. Finger cut 1/8" deep and 3/4" wide. I also found that it only holds potatoes up and down in an oval shape and not sideways really well. It cuts very precisely and evenly. Exactly what I was looking for. I made…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • poorly thought out
