We have already bought several Merrell shoes. So I bought this pair without hesitation. Unfortunately, after a short time while our 3 year old son was wearing them, the elastic in the upper part of the shoe ripped on one side. I expected these shoes to hold him until he outgrows them, which happened with her other shoes. Not sure what their return/exchange policy is but definitely disappointed in the quality of this particular shoe.

We haven't had a chance to put them on our son yet, but as soon as we took them out of the box it was obvious these 'new' shoes had been worn before. The soles were dirty and there was dirt on the treads. Also the inside of the shoes was dirty as if the shoes had been worn once on a hike and then sent back. While I'm sure these shoes are great, they've definitely been worn and returned before.

Merrell shoes arrived in a used box but the shoes themselves looked somewhat new. The seams are in tact and the shoe is a bit stiff. The bow is low. The shoes are exactly the same size as other shoes my little one wears and fit perfectly.

They are great for my very active 3 year old. They wash well and are easy to put on and take off yourself. Will definitely buy them again!

These shoes are very well made. You look fantastic! However, they cannot be worn on a 3-year-old child! Too tight around the leg opening. I couldn't even insert my son's leg. Not the perfect shoe for a small child!

Great walking shoes for my almost 3 year old son. This is the second pair we have bought. They should be comfortable because he likes to wear them. They offer good grip on rocky and gravel paths. The wide ones seem to fit his foot perfectly.

They fit my daughter like a normal size 6. They are comfortable for long distances. She has been walking up and down steep slopes in the mountains with no problems (at 2 years 4 months) so these shoes feel very grippy. Very cute and durable!

This is the third time we have bought these shoes for our son. The first two pairs of shoes lasted us 9 to 12 months. This pair of shoes lasted less than two months. Velcro letters faded in the first week. The sole of the boot gradually disintegrated, pieces of green plastic fell off. I originally bought these shoes as they were quality shoes for our dynamic and busy son but will not be buying them again given the declining quality.

The perfect shoe for the wild toddler who likes to jump and run carefree. Fits good. Properly supports the leg. Has a good grip! What more could you want from a shoe!

For a little boy, better buy 0.5 size larger. I bought one for my little kid it was good so I bought another one for my big kid to replace his little Columbia. But the sole is too thin, my older child feels the rocky path.

I love these shoes. I ordered two sizes. Both are too small. If you want to buy a size 7 for your little one, I would go up a size or at least half a size up.

We ordered 8 and received 7. We only noticed that when the shoes were too small for our son. And the return window closed a few days ago. Be careful when checking the size after receiving it.

My 2.5 year old loves these shoes! I was already a big fan of Merrell shoes and have a few for myself so it wasn't difficult to get them for my son. They are very durable, fit perfectly and I'm sure they will last a long time. I will definitely be buying a few more when he outgrows them!

I chose shoes with wide feet. Used foot/scale before purchase. My child came home from kindergarten with a toe injury. I'm trying to increase the size but the manufacturer is being dishonest about the scale.

It's like they took all their adult stuff and made it out of it. They had to make the shoes out of thinner materials so they weren't so bulky. Also, the size was much smaller than other brands, so use their chart and increase the size.

They were clearly worn out. There was caked dirt on the soles of the shoes and animal hair on top. My child is also a size 9 and we ordered a 9.5. They appear to be much larger than half the size. The shoes appear to be of good quality but I am very disappointed in the condition they arrived in.

I bought them in July because they were on sale to prepare for the school year. My son started wearing them in September and they are already torn. I've had other less expensive brands that have lasted much longer. I'm not sure if this is genuine Merrell quality.
