Brown for Women

I love Merrell shoes. I've worn them for years and they last forever. I was expecting more rust color. The color is called cinnamon. i have brown Very brown. Not what I expected. I will leave them but the color is not what they show.

Sizing Tip - Shoes

Sizing Tip: I ordered these sneakers and the Merrell IcePack Moc Polar waterproof snow boots at the same time to see which fit best (I wear a size 9W). This model has a narrower toe so I sent it back but if you don't have wide toes it might fit you better. That being said, these shoes are exactly what other reviewers have described: lightweight, waterproof, and grippy.

Amazing outsole! And comfortable!

This is amazing. I just got them in the mail 2 hours ago, put them on, it's snowing outside and I'm not slipping! I live in Tahoe where we can get 800+ inches a year and they are great to carry around and use when my big sorels aren't needed. They are comfortable and have a removable insole with good arch support. If you see my photo on the grip, they actually have a combination of rubber and a stiffer shell like regular running shoes, but because of the interweaving, the rubber really grips…

Best Ice/Water Shoe Ever

Best shoe for walking on ice or ice with water on it. My wife loves these shoes and now she doesn't want to part with them. I had a hard time getting her to agree that she needed these special soled shoes as the shoes cost twice as much as the regular rubber soled shoes she had until she slipped on the ice/water and stopped. skating on ice without shoes. a pair of these shoes. You will have to buy a full size up as they are small and snug, but they fit great once you find the right size for…

Update: I'm almost looking forward to winter with these shoes.

Just what I needed for the Wisconsin winter. I don't always have to wear boots, but I do need warm, waterproof shoes when I walk my dog or go shopping. You are perfect. It was cold rain today and I tried them. Worked great! No wet feet. The Vibram outsole also seems to work well in packed snow - it's said to be specifically designed for snow and ice. They look a bit bulky, but when it's cold you want your feet to be warm and dry. They're also easier to put on and take off than my boots. January

Good and bad things to know before you buy

These Merrell shoes are really good. We bought a pair of men and women for each of us to wear and love very much. They are not very warm, but they repel water well and have good traction. Otherwise they are great! They are quite snug for the advertised size and difficult to put on at first, but with a shoehorn they fit well and after a week or so they slip down as usual. I would recommend them if you understand that the "Winter" rating is for grip factors and water repellency NOT warmth as they

They're on the small side and Merrell isn't sure he understands WIDE!

I used to buy Jungle Mocs and found that Merrell doesn't make baggy but essential shoes that you can just wear to take your dog for a walk this winter. The normal worked fine for normal mocks. I was happy to see that Merrell offers WIDE for these winter socks, so I immediately bought a pair and got an extra half size in width to accommodate my wool socks. I just wrote them down and basically they don't seem wide at all, they look just like regular Merrells. I'm confused as to why they bothered…

Merrell Artic Grip Women's Running Shoes Update

Winters in Maine can be very frigid. I used to wear "tractors" on my hiking boots to walk my dog, but my very sensitive feet hurt from the extra pressure of wearing them. So I researched to find the best shoe sole for traction on shiny ice, snow on ice and mud and found that the "Vibram Artic Grip" outsole was among the top three aggressive ice soles and that Merrill has shoes with those attributes . soles. I usually wear a 10th width to accommodate liners and thermal socks but the wides were…

Ice Moc normal width too narrow

I usually wear size 8 normal width American women's shoes. I have very high arches so I sometimes order roomy or 1-2 sizes up just to give my feet enough "blanket room" in the toe area. I also have what some call the "Egyptian foot" shape: the fingertips line up with a smooth slope from thumb to pinky (as opposed to the rounded hill where the second toe is sometimes longer than the thumb) . . Finger). What I'm saying is I'm looking for shoes where the toe box height and width is greater than…
