Merrell J034353 Breakwater Athletic Men's Shoes Review

I had previously bought the exact same pair in a size 9 and they fit me perfectly, slightly larger which was very comfortable. The new pair, size 9, was obviously reduced in size and very uncomfortable and tight. The problem is there are no half sizes so I would have to go to a size 10 which would probably be too big. I don't understand the reason for the constant adjustment of the product size. What's the meaning of this?

Belts are tough things. When walking in them, the straps rubbed my legs and blistered. Definitely the wrong tape material. You want soft belts, not rough ones! My other RIFs have a great padded strap that Merrell needs to keep an eye on. The rest of the slippers are great! Good foothold with arch support.

I bought it as a gift for someone and it's a size 10 but it didn't fit. He looks smaller. Size 11 would fit a normal size 10 person.

These slippers fell apart after 4 months. I use them to get into the sea over coral and then attach them to the top of my canoe which is very frustrating.

Looked promising, stylish and beautiful including colorful soles but this item was too uncomfortable (especially between the toes) out of the box. Unfortunately, like other comments here, these are the most uncomfortable flips I've purchased. I tried to love her, but I knew that keeping her would be disappointing. Sorry Merrell, try to use better and more comfortable materials and I'm sure it will be a hit.

As with durability, the toe box could have been wider for a more natural toe splay, and they are too heavy and don't flex at the toes or ball of the foot when walking. so strange

Excellent traction. Slippers may seem bulky, but they're not heavy. Comfortable insole with excellent arch support. True to size, straps don't itch. Overall a high quality flip flop. I use mine for hiking and they work great!

The straps are very rough, which combined with Merrell's shoes, which are fitted for people with obesity or puffiness, means the straps are loose and extremely uncomfortable. The brands you are looking for are Olukai or Reef, thought I'd give Merrell another shot and unfortunately they continue to make things for a larger audience.

Tried both leather and synthetic versions. Arch support was excellent and the sockliner felt well constructed and durable. They were very thin. I usually wear wide Merrell shoes and they don't come in wide sizes. Increasing the size didn't solve the problem because they got too loose and still not wide enough. A pair of great solid flip flops. They are comfortable around the toe and can be punched. ALSO suitable for easy hikes on the water. The outsole is durable, like any Merrell shoe. You look great too.

The insole is excellent and comfortable. They're a little smaller around the edges than my old Chaco eco protectors, but that doesn't really matter. belts are good. I don't find them uncomfortable like other reviewers. They are not soft but not uncomfortable. They fit perfectly out of the box. The only thing I didn't like was that the straps loosened up a bit more than I prefer after a pair of socks. I still really like them but I prefer them a little tighter around my legs.

Unfortunately we only have 3 months of it. My husband is a real Chaco llflio shoe lover but I couldn't find his size and we ordered a few more pairs from Merrell so I decided to see if he liked them. He didn't wear them until June. I wish I could order direct from Merrell, I feel like if Merrell knew these shoes were broken they would replace them.

I usually wear Olakai slippers and wanted something new. I walked around my living room for a few minutes and found them comfortable but too tight for my treatment. The length is typical of other Merrell shoes but they feel too narrow. If you have skinny legs this will be amazing!
