I'd had them for almost exactly 3 months when I looked at the heel and found it was almost completely worn down to the outer layer of the shoe. I spoke to Merrell to find out how long the shoes were (I've worn them A LOT!) and was told to report them as defective, which I did. Especially now that even the traditionally "reliable" and "high quality" shoe companies (I look at you Nike and Adidas!) are making crap shoes, especially for kids.
