I ordered extra wide because I have very wide feet. 12+ hours. I usually buy 13D in size 5.11 and they fit a lot looser than these. Next time I'll use 12 1/2. I can't say how they will be inside, like in prison, I had good grip on wet concrete outside, but prison concrete is different because of that. this

I've been addicted to Bates and Red Wing Boots for years but I wanted to make a change. This boot is good except for one downside: the flat insole is not good. I ended up replacing the insole with a Red Wing insole which made these boots almost perfect. I'm in the field, in and out of the car five (5) days a week and so far this boot has held up.
