I do not recommend.

My 2 basset hound puppies won't eat it. When mixed with actual food, they both just leave that food in the bowl or on the floor while Rei literally spits it out. I guess I should have read other reviews before spending $60. We also believe it made 1 puppy sick. On the 1st day that we fed him, he vomited shortly after eating, the same as when he was fed in the morning. This went on for 3 days and a visit to the vet. Throw away the bag of bugs. Our vet also advises against it.

Beware of Grain-Free Recipes

Beware of Grain-Free Products. Sweet potatoes and peas added in excess can cause certain urinary tract problems. My puppy got crystals in his urine from eating this. This doesn't happen to every dog, but be sure to consult your veterinarian when choosing a puppy food. If it works for your dog, more work for you! Her tummy didn't bother her at all, her fur was beautiful, but she definitely had urinary problems related to the overindulgence in sweet potatoes and peas.

Another old recipe Updated

When I placed my order on 19.02. I hope the puppy doesn't have any problems with it. Switched from Pro Plan. ***Edit*** Tried mixing it with topical puppy food. Everything was going well until we switched to the 75/25 diet. The puppy had a loose stool, which in the last 2 days turned into a full-fledged one due to diarrhea. Yesterday I had to switch to a soft boiled chicken and rice diet. Hopefully this will clear up the diarrhea and get her back on the old food. It's a shame because the…

Just a word of caution for Dry

At first my puppy was fine on this food but after a while he started having soft stools and terrible farts! Plus additional peeling of the skin. I did a little research and read a list of boutique or health foods that didn't contain grains but caused heart problems, and Merrick was one of them. I've now switched to Wellness Core and it seems to be getting better. Also, there seems to be a lot of counterfeit products on Revain in general that they don't regulate, which is why I choose any…

It was a very good choice for our Xander the Husky!

My daughter uses Merrick for her dogs, they love it and she is very happy. I decided to give it a try and Xander loves it too. It has the basic ingredients my dog needs and thrives! He is now 9 months old and I plan to switch to adult dog food when the time comes. By the way, if you own a Husky, here's what you need to know. Huskies are herbivores. Xander is my second husky. My first husky, a girl, turned 15 and, like Xander, she ignored her food for a few days and then the bowl was empty. This

Not good for our Golden Retriever puppy

Our puppy never had normal bowel movements on this food and ended up with fairly constant diarrhea. According to our vet, we switched to a bland chicken and rice diet for a few days due to digestive issues, and then when we tried going back to those pellets, she had explosive diarrhea and the poor thing, who slept all night, was whimpering and was forced to leave 3 times a night. So we went back to the chicken and rice for the second time and then tried turning on kibble again and same thing…
