Description of Mesee Bearings Template Trimming Woodworking

1/4 Inch Flush Trim Bearing Router Bit, 1-1/2 Inch in Blade Height, 1/2 Inch in Cutting Diameter. Industrial Grade Premium C3 Micro-grain Carbide Cutters, baked on heat resistant Teflon coating, high performance, brings sharper cutting experience. Can be used with either a top or bottom template, especially useful for template work when routing rounded or curvy wood with sensitive end-grains. Top and Bottom Bearing Router Bit, great for all your large stock trim applications, processing a wide range of materials such as MDF, chipboard, plywood, etc. Allow you to flip over the wood stock when you reach "up-grain" and rout that segment in a "down-grain" direction, maintaining uniform smoothness around the work-piece.

I had really high expectations.

Just kidding. I mean, I just bought this piece out of curiosity. And I had a "dubious" advantage that I had to trim flush. Also, I wanted to see how good a beat could be for a lower price. And to be honest, it wasn't as bad as I expected. In this case it ran at exactly 21,000 RPM and I used it on a 1/4 inch sheet of aluminum I mounted on my old workbench. The bearings held up well and it wasn't unbalanced. wasn't very sharp, but I fixed it with a few strokes of sanding. But it worked well…

Pros
  • Can be used with either the top or bottom template, particularly useful for template work when routing round or curved wood with delicate end grain.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
