Excellent product. I like the smooth start and easy adjustment on the blade. In fact, I use the tool with the protective screen attached and don't just throw it away like I do with other grinders. I also like the extra 1/2" over my previous 4 1/2" grinders. My only complaint is the price.

This grinder is the answer. Slim and beautiful looking for cutting edge. The Metabo used to have bulky handles that would tire your hands after hours of use, but this one has lost some belly fat, which is a big plus. The soft start is good, but if the stylus is left plugged in, it does get a little warm from the sticker. I don't know what it is, it must be some component that controls the device. This is a heavy duty German made 5 inch grinder for hard to reach areas and fillet weld grinding. I have two issues that cause me to give it four stars instead of five. The slide switch sometimes does not turn the grinder on. At first I thought the switch was faulty, but now I see that the switch handles multiple safety conditions. One for general overheating. I'm sure it's not my problem. The other is to not restart after a power failure if the switch is left on. That wasn't my situation…
