Barley jacket fits my 14 year old son. This safety vest is very thin with almost no padding and will only fit you as an adult if you are a petite person. It seems that it can fit an adult of medium or even tall stature, but it doesn't. My son wears small men's clothing and it's even a free size. So as they say I'm glad my niece likes to play and my son's friends are little because if it wasn't for me I would certainly ask for a refund. My 12 year old son loved this vest. He enjoys playing airsoft, but most of his gear gets hot and sweaty. It's lightweight, but still offers enough padding and protection to play. I wouldn't wear this armor in airsoft combat, but for paintball or costume it's more than adequate. It's very light, which is a big plus, and for some, it may make up for the lack of armor. The mobility in this vest is phenomenal, albeit at the cost of lacking armor on the side or along the collarbone.
