The red auxiliary cable was not needed.

Before installing on my 2007 Vibe, I watched some videos on YouTube and found them helpful during the installation. I didn't use the supplied red auxiliary cable or I need it in my case. I found it confusing to turn it on and the instructions to attach it to the fuse box. I think a more detailed explanation of when this might be required would be helpful. Otherwise, this is a great wiring harness to buy to replace your car's OEM wiring harness with your aftermarket wiring harness. For…

Santa Fe 2003 with Monsoon 6 CD changer

This tag fits perfectly. The one that was sent to me did not include the extra red wire. Something specific to the 2003 Santa Fe with Monsoon: As far as I know, this configuration has a factory amp installed. I took the blue remote wire from my secondary stereo and connected it directly to the blue/orange striped wire coming from the factory wiring harness. It would be possible to bypass the factory amp entirely, but if you're just trying to install a new stereo it's much easier to use a…

Great for the 03 Silverado if you don't want to keep the factory bells.

Perfect for those who don't have to worry about losing the factory ring. This is an advanced installation item and it is recommended that an additional fuse with the red wire connected to the fuse box be used instead of the supplied gold item connected to the existing fuse. Finding the ACC cable is not easy. You will see many shoppers who cannot get their devices to save the date and time settings. However, this is due to an installation error. I installed 2003 Silverado. This applies to…

Totally useless as a wire harness adapter

Do you think they (Metra) can put ALL the wires that are already in the car into this adapter? Do you think the few wires they bothered with were in the right positions? Do you think the few wires they bothered can be moved to the right positions? If you answered YES to any of these questions, be prepared to be bitterly disappointed, extremely disappointed and extremely upset with this product. Be ready. spend hours and hours trying to get it to work. Get ready to buy a soldering iron, a…

Strange Landing on a 2005 Chevy Classic

Required to install a Pioneer in a 2005 Chevy Classic. The OEM wiring harness does not match the description on the wiring harness packaging. As I hooked in bunch of cables after bunch of wires, there was no power. To be fair the wiring harness came with an extra red wire and I ended up routing it from the red wire on the wiring harness to the passenger side fuse box where I routed it through the sunroof circuit using a water tap which is key. to plan. Now the stereo works fine (I also ran a…

2005 Chevy Silverado - RED WIRE INSTRUCTIONS

WORKS for my 05 Silverado, MUST use the red wire. I connected all the wires from this Metra to the Pioneer wiring harness that came with my new stereo by twisting all the wires of the same color together and then threading nuts onto each wire (I used gray nuts but I had to use a truncate number). of exposed wires). down the cable slightly, the blue cable nuts are larger and will probably work, although when reinstalled they take up more space behind your radio which was already tight in my…

Worked great on my 2004 Chevy Silverado!

Getting Started. I had a very hard time finding the right wiring harness for my 04 Silverado. Revane even said it wouldn't fit in my car! I didn't want to spend over $50 just for my suspension to have a chime or other safety features that I don't care about. I connected wire to wire only to find my deck won't turn on! The extra red 12 volt cable that comes with the kit saved a life. I had to run a red wire from the deck wiring harness to the fuse box and connect it to it through the wiper fuse.
