Not for 6x9. - Car electronics

Part #82-69021 says it's for 6x9 holes but the insert for the same part number says it's for 6x8 holes only. Therefore it doesn't work in my machine.

  • Everything is fine!

Only in the first step. in Car Audio

JL Audio VR Connect 650m to 6x 9 adapters Everything seems fine. A little Dremel made them perfect in no time. I haven't installed them in my car yet but I'm sure they will have 0 vibration. A good product. Spends little time with patients.

  • Solid surface

  • Not sure

6x8 to 6 Adapter Ring

Product information listed directly on the box 6x8 to 6 speaker adapter. Not for 6.5 speakers. You can crop to fit. Even a tweeter hole, if no tweeter is installed, can be found in a closed adapter ring without a tweeter hole. Otherwise you will not have a closed mount for your 6.5 stand. Buy another brand.

Pros
  • Industry Best
Cons
  • Compatibility

It's 6x8 NOT 6x9

I've installed car audio systems many times and should have known better when I saw the instructions that came with the 6x8 to 6.75 inch NOT 6x9 adapter plates, ALSO ALTHOUGH the model says 69 in it, which means 6x9. These are 6x8 adapters, NOT 6x9. Buy from another brand if you want real 6x9 adapter plates. Literally the only hole that matches the factory mounting holes.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Cheap, fragile junk. It is not clear why such a high rating.

Weak, brittle, 6x9 on label but instructions say only 6x8 will fit. I bought some speakers for another car that I just gave to my kid and wanted to use them in my truck, they are 6.5 and the truck is 6x9. That's why I buy these "adapters", they are so fragile that I didn't open the second package because I have to epoxy the first ones again.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Negative impression

NOT for Jeep Grand Cherokee (2004): Take extra care when removing plastic

Contrary to popular belief, I disagree that these adapters will fit a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee front door. As you can see in photos 3 and 4, once installed, it blocks the mounting holes for the 6.5" speaker. The breakable area can be thinner as you can break one of them when you remove the plastic to fit the speaker. was in the middle.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • It's OK

I'm here to clear this up.

They are thin but strong. If they were rigid they would crack/break, which is clearly not what you want. They fit into 6x9 and 6x8 openings. You do NOT need any special tools when expanding holes like the 5.25 hole to accommodate 6.5 inch speakers. I used pliers along the groove to remove what was needed. Then I used a razor blade to remove the burrs. It was very easy, I did both parts in under 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

worked but didn't work. read review.

Used on a 2015 Chrysler 200 to replace a 6x9 rear coax with a Pro Audio 6.5, they did the job but I would add they are flimsy and cheap. And the holes didn't match. But for the price I made stencils out of it and used 1/2 Plexiglas and it worked great for the back. I've used them in front doors and they work better. For the price, they're good enough to get the job done. If you're installing a heavy 6.5" speaker, you might want to amplify it in some way, e.g. B. with fiberglass resin or…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Not Even Close fits speakers

I bought these with the intention of quickly installing a 6 1/2" Rockford Fosgate kit in my standard 6x9 locations. NO! Now that won't happen! It there is an error in the cutouts for the tweeters. They have circles that are pre-measured to different sizes. But not all speakers fit those sizes. So I just flipped it over to a new canvas for a hole saw. But there is already a hole In the center. My hole saw had nothing to hook on and was slipping and scratching it. Who wants to see a scratched…
