I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan and needed a new stereo (I was factory bound). I thought a lot before buying this device, but finally decided on this one! That's great! My husband removed my old factory stereo and installed the new one in about half an hour. If any! This kit holds my new stereo perfectly! No hassles and easy installation! If you want to install a new stereo system in your car, you won't go wrong with this installation set!

It served its purpose and fitted my PT Cruiser dash very well but to be honest it didn't fit my new stereo as tightly as I would have liked. There was plenty of room to wobble vertically, so I found it necessary to tape a thin strip of foam to keep the stereo from moving. My understanding is that this is intended to be a somewhat generic dash kit for the makes of car listed and the manufacturer has no idea what type of stereo you are trying to install. So I read a review that this product doesn't work because it doesn't have a support bracket. So I went to my local electronics store (Fry's) and asked what dash kit I should use and they recommended this model over the 6505. So I went ahead and bought this on Amazon for my 2005 Jeep.
