Great for what he does.

Please note that it is made of very thin plastic and must be handled with care. However, I was happy with this product. This hanger is made to fit several Scion models, so depending on the model you will need to cut a few clearly marked tabs before it will fit your dash. It's okay, but it can be a little intimidating at first. In general, apart from this small note, it was exactly what I needed.

Good product! Best in Automotive and Automotive Electronics

I read somewhere that this Metra install kit is better than the Scoshe kit offered for Scions because Metra offers a larger CD bay. I helped a friend install this product on his 2008 Scion TC and building and installing the kit couldn't be easier. It literally snaps into place and you just snap off unnecessary protrusions. My friend's CD tray had enough room to store his Zune dinosaur and an extra cable, and enough room for my fingers to get there. I highly recommend this installation kit.

So simple, that's proof of idiocy.

I have a 2005 Scion TC and needed this handy little kit because I was digging out the standard radio and fitting a new Pioneer DEH 3200ub (one din size only). Not only does it fit perfectly, but it's completely foolproof. It has all the grommets for all Scion vehicles and you simply cut off the ones that don't fit your vehicle (it tells you which ones to cut off). The open space underneath is also nice because I can put my iPod, phone and radio remote control there when I'm not using them. You…

Don't waste your money.

I couldn't get this thing right no matter how hard I tried, it comes with almost all the attachments to make it suitable for any offspring, it's very cheap as it can be broken by the lugs For example, you don't want to use XD or XA next to the tag, and if you use it for XB like I do, break any tabs that don't say XB even if the bracket isn't fully seated. Flush I ended up doing that just removed the brackets from the original radio and fitted the new radio in its place and just inserted the kit

Works for a while but mine broke. twice

I've already experienced 2 of these and simply rejected plastic in the end. I'll probably break down and buy another one, but not for a while. It fits perfectly as they say which is really good (I have a 2005 xb) but the plastic mounts will break over time if there is too much vibration. dirt road or accidental collision with too many traffic cones at night. It goes with the xA, xB and Tc because it has tear off tabs for each car, meaning those tabs that hold your stereo in place are meant to…

I like the spare tray below

The frame is very small in height and a bit wider for my 2004 scion, I had to use some force and it went in fine. The instructions confused me a bit, but otherwise very clear. I like the spare compartment below, for an ipod, phone or whatever, but beware there is a hole in the spare compartment, about 3mm x 6mm spacing at the back. It is designed for two different Scion models. There are instructions on how much of the bracket to break off to fit the model you want, but double check before…

Mixed feelings - automotive and automotive electronics

This is a strange kit. It comes in several parts with instructions that don't mention what parts you need or how to assemble them. The kit's legs and arms are labeled according to the model, but they don't tell you to remove those that don't fit your car. Luckily my dad has a dremel tool that easily cuts off extra legs. I also had to cut the metal brackets that came in my attachment in half to fit the new bracket as well because the plastic itself doesn't seem strong enough. After installation,
