Type of review

Industrial and Scientific workers, you won't be disappointed with this clean solder diameter. It is effortless to use and effectively removes excess solder from your working materials. A little goes a long way, and the results are spot-on. However, the small volume might not be enough for large projects. Overall, it's highly recommended for anyone who requires pristine-quality solderings.

Pros
  • Easy and effective way to clean solder
Cons
  • Leaves residue on surface after use

Expensive but works

Solder Works well but is very expensive. Some of the early lead-free solders I tried would "splash" back onto your hands (annoying since temperatures are over 600F). This MG solder doesn't - a definite improvement. The price compared to lead solder is about 300% higher, which is bad news.

Pros
  • Eutectic Alloy (Liquidus = Solidus Temperature)
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Good diameter size for soldering!

Definitely a better alternative to traditional lead solder as requested by my professor. At first I doubted if this lead-free solder would work for electronics because I'm a beginner, I was afraid I wasted $ and I read that lead-free solder was the only way out, but he assured me everything was fine be. . I ordered a 1/2 pound roll because I didn't want it to run out before the end of term. I've used this spool for about 4 small projects and only used 1/8th of the spool. So it's a decent amount

Pros
  • Flux Equivalent to J-STD-004B
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive
