The cheapest relay is the best of switches and relays

The turn signal worked for the first 600 miles of the trip. The turn signal is used on a motorhome with all LED headlights. Flash driver was purchased and installed in February 2020. Our trip was in May 2020. The blinker is over. BE CAREFUL.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Not working for my application

I installed this on my 1990 Camaro after converting to LED, the turn signals just stay on without flashing, they do the same with this one installed. They just stay on all the time without blinking.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not sure

Works (with modifications).

They didn't fit in the socket the stock firmware came out of so I removed the cover and it fitted perfectly. There seems to be a significant amount of "totem" space inside that could be eliminated to reduce the size of the turn signal.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Minor things

Ideal for LED

Ideal for LED. Don't believe negative reviews. Just make sure you connect it properly. I have verified that this flasher relay works correctly with a current draw of up to 50mA. It worked well. The lower limit of 0.1W is 8mA and the upper limit of 150W is 12.5 amps. As long as you keep it within specs, you'll be fine.

  • Confident

Works well with bulbs

I used this on my '82 Honda XL500R (Dual Sport Bike) and it works as intended. I currently have incandescent bulbs totaling 56 watts per side plus a 5 watt indicator light on the dash and it works great. It's silent (solid-state) as they say. Hopefully when they arrive and get to the dead end my LEDs will work as well as they do now.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Has flaws

Turn signals for use with LED light.

I used a turn signal on one of the warning lights on the fender of an agricultural tractor. The new light is an LED, so the old turn signal will not work as the LED is not drawing enough amps to make it flash. I took off the old indicator, plugged in the new one, turned on the light and everything worked. 4 stars only because I haven't used it yet, I don't know if it's enough. I don't see why not.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost never

Thought I'd get Lucky

Some of the previous reviews were bad (didn't work long/quite). I was hoping that I would be one of the lucky ones and not have the problems others have mentioned. Well, I wasn't one of the lucky ones. The device worked for several days and then "broken". When it stopped working, I ran two different stress tests on the device to make sure it wasn't another issue. He failed both tests. I'm really tired of cheaply made crappy parts.

Didn't work in my situation, excellent customer service

I installed them on the turn signal socket and emergency flash socket. The tail and position lights as well as the turn signals and brake lights had LEDs and did not flash. I've tried everything but there is no flash. So I put a 1157 bulb in the LR taillight and they still didn't flash. So I tried the original turn signal, and both 1157 and front LED flashed normally. When I first tried the new turn signal with the 1157 bulb, I think I heard a short inside the turn signal. So now I have the…
